Visible Reconstruction presents a unified and extremely authentic method to the therapy of continuity in imaginative and prescient. It introduces, analyzes, and illustrates two new ideas. The primary — the weak continuity constraint — is a concise, computational formalization of piecewise continuity. It’s a mechanism for expressing the expectation that visible portions resembling depth, floor shade, and floor depth differ repeatedly virtually all over the place, however with occasional abrupt adjustments. The second idea — the graduated nonconvexity algorithm — arises naturally from the primary. It’s an environment friendly, deterministic (nonrandom) algorithm for becoming piecewise steady features to visible knowledge.
